ZENY Puzzle piece work out mat/home gym flooring for the win!
Home work outs have been around for years but since the pandemic fitness and home gyms seam to becoming more and more popular! My husband and I love to work out and having a space in out basement to do so is a blessing. If you have the space for some dumbbells and room to move then why not! Not only do you save on paying a gym membership but think about the gas and time you save driving to and from the gym!
To make a decent home gym you need a nice stable and comfortable work out mat! We have tried a few different options over the last several years and the thick stall mats were just too hard when we would jump or do other cardio movements. We found the foam interlocking gym floor mat tiles to be our favorite!
Overview
This particular mat comes with 24 tiles that interlock like a puzzle piece and includes 2 separate edging or border pieces to finish them off with a nice out line. Each tile is 24.8”L x 24.8”W x 3/4”H which Covers 96 SQ.FT. The tiles and borders can be easily removed and attached to other mats of the same style.
This extra thickness of 3/4″ will provide excellent support and anti-skid textures that are shock- absorbing to reduce impact force and provide the body with maximum support, comfort, and protection during any workouts. Most other work out mats I have found are 1/2″ thick; this extra thickness really makes a great difference.
These water-proof exercise mats are very easy to clean. I have vacuumed them, wiped them down with towel and mopped them. They a great multi use flooring option for kids play area too!
Price Point
I found this brand on amazon.com,the cost was $94.99 for 24 tiles, I don’t think this is outrageous as most other brands were in the same price range but those gym mats were only 1/2″ thick but these are 3/4″ thick for around the same price.
One thing you do need to consider is that one package of 24 tiles might not be enough for your space. We ended up having to buy 3 packages to finish out home gym area and had a few left over. We saved our left over pieces in case we needed them later to replace any worn out areas.
All in All
We love the ZENY puzzle exorcise mat for the ease of installing and/or moving them, for the cushion and comfort and of course the price! I would Definitely recommend these for your home gym work out mat or even flooring for your kids play area! I gave this product a 9 our of 10.
The only reason it was not given a 10 out of 10 is because ware and tear… Something we did not consider; my husbands gym sneakers have a nice grip on the bottoms and when doing mountain climbers on the floor his shoes actually ripped up the mat a bit. I don’t think this is something to really be concerned with normal sneakers just this particular tread on his was rough on the material. My kids and my shoes had no issues, since then he got new sneakers and no issues!
